Photocopy of account of the last Dutch embassy to the court of Ch'ien-lung describing the journey from Canton to Peking in late 1794, the sojourn at Peking, and the return trip to Canton in the spring of 1795. Also a translation done in 1984 by Dorothy Wright and an article, "New Evidence on the Authorship of 'Titsingh's Journal' by Wright and Dorothy W. Davis, published in CH'ING-SHIH WEN-T'I, vol. 5, no. 1 (June 1984).

The manuscript was originally purported to be a French translation from the Dutch of a journal by Isaac Titsingh, the First Ambassador of the Dutch embassy to the court of Ch'ien-lung in 1794 and 1795. A 1984 examination of a photocopy of the manuscript suggested that it was actually. written by Joseph de Guignes, an interpreter on the embassy.
